This 9-day Tanzania safari will take you to some of Africa’s most magnificent wildlife reserves. From the well-known Serengeti and breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater to the stunning but little-known Tarangire and Lake Manyara. Experience the world’s greatest overland migration while surrounded by wildlife.
This private safari offers you the flexibility to travel at your own pace, exactly the way you like it. You will have a private safari vehicle and guide.
As you walk out of Kilimanjaro International Airport, your personal Tanzania Specialist guide greets you with a big smile: 'Karibu Tanzania - welcome to Tanzania!' You are taken directly to your accommodation by the guide, where you may unwind and enjoy the African ambience. Your guide takes you on a private, exclusive safari the following day, letting you go at your own speed. Savor the comforts of your personal safari vehicle and feel free to pause and observe the wildlife for as long as you wish!
Tarangire National Park is renowned for its abundance of massive baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Elephants have a unique method for extracting water from these trees, which can survive for hundreds of years. During the dry season, they use these trees as a source of water. You can witness herds of up to 250 elephants in Tarangire during this season, along with many other creatures, because the Tarangire River is the only source of water during the dry season.
Lake Manyara National Park is located directly along the 400-meter-deep Great Rift Valley, between Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. Numerous animal species are drawn to the park's diverse environments. For instance, you can go to the lake, view elephants up close in the woods, travel through a deep rainforest with hundreds of monkeys and birds, and visit the famous Manyara hippo pool, where many hippos bathe from dawn till dusk.
Due in large part to the Great Migration that travels through the Serengeti National Park, it is well recognized as a safari destination. The sheer number of predators that inhabit this area—more than 4,000 lions, 225 cheetahs, 1,000 leopards, 3500 hyenas, and hundreds of wild dogs—is as astonishing as the massive, stampeding herds! Naturally, there are many more stunning creatures that your guide will be happy to look for with you. Are you prepared for this?
One of the seven natural wonders of Africa is the well-known Ngorongoro Crater. A massive volcano erupted two million years ago, creating the crater. Africa's biggest concentration of animals can be found in this unique ecosystem that was formed by the rich lava! When you enter the crater, you are surrounded by thousands of animals, including buffalos, zebras, black rhinos, and lions. The sights are breathtaking.
Last day! You can unwind in the lodge for a little while longer before our driver drives you to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your travel home, depending on when your departure is. Having second thoughts? Traveling to one of Tanzania's idyllic islands, like Zanzibar, Pemba, or Mafia, can also extend your vacation by a few days!
