Swim with sea turtles in a natural lagoon on Zanzibar. Visit the Baraka Aquarium, a natural pond used as a turtle sanctuary. Enjoy a private transportation to and from your accommodation.
Visit Zanzibar's Baraka Natural Aquarium and swim with sea turtles. Feed the turtles seaweed and spend time in the ocean. Use a snorkeling mask to dive and observe them in their natural habitat. Meet your tour guide and driver at your hotel and then proceed to the Baraka Natural Aquarium.
Upon entering the aquarium, you will see turtles of all ages and sizes, the largest of which is 120 years old. Swim into the turtles' hut, feed them, and get up close. You can also discover ostriches, deer, monkeys, and other animals. Take advantage of the unusual opportunity to swim alongside sea turtles.
During your stay, you can feed seaweed to turtles or simply enjoy the water. Run your fingers over the shells and feel them close to you. There is plenty of food (seaweed) available at the aquarium to feed the turtles. Also, bring a snorkeling mask to dive and observe them in their natural habitat. The water in the pond can be murky at times, however there is a shower on-site. If you are not a skilled swimmer, you will have to sit near the pond's edge because the water can be quite deep (up to 2 meters), so bring a life jacket.
