Arrival

You will be taken from the airport. Accommodation prior to the commencement of the journey is available at an additional cost.

Day 1 : Materuni Waterfalls & Coffee Tour

On this day, you will learn about the Chagga culture, village life, and the local animals and plants. The vistas are breathtaking, and if you're lucky, you'll glimpse Kilimanjaro's summit. When you reach the waterfalls, you will notice that they are over 80 meters high. Don't forget your swimsuit; the pool at the bottom of the waterfall is an excellent area for a refreshing swim! After enjoying the scenery, you will gently return to Materuni village with your guide for a typical Chagga meal. Next, you'll have the coffee experience. Here, you will learn how coffee is grown, dried, roasted, and processed. You will also be asked to assist in the grinding of the coffee, which is customarily accompanied with Chagga songs and dances - a wonderful way to immerse yourself in local culture. Before you say farewell, you can savor the coffee you made while admiring the views of the surrounding rainforest.

Day 2 : Tarangire National Park

On the final day, we visit Tarangire National Park for a wildlife drive. The park follows the Tarangire River and is primarily made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley plain. Its natural environment consists primarily of Acacia woodland and big African Baobab trees, with large marsh areas to the south. During Tanzania's dry season, the river and marshes attract wild animals. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This national park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. We eat lunch at picnic after which we continue with game until late evening, and then head to Arusha/JRO.
