On our ten-day Camping Safari, you’ll see it all! From spectacular fauna to breathtaking landscapes and meeting the locals. You will see the highlights of northern Tanzania, including Tarangire National Park, Lake Natron, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater. The “off the beaten track” trek to Lake Natron is unique to this safari and provides you with a true sense of adventure.
This tour takes you to Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. These wilderness places are characterized by distinct inhabitant animal behaviors; yet, you may encounter certain exceptional attractions. Kili Step 2 Safaris will only be found in one park.
Tarangire is well-known for its high-density population of elephants and baobab trees, whilst Manyara is noted for its tree-climbing lions, soda ash lake, and flamingos. Both parks are home to hundreds of bird species and are popular destinations for bird watchers in East Africa.
You will be picked up at Kilimanjaro International Airport and taken to Moshi. You will meet your driving guide, who will brief you on your future safaris, after which you will rest till the next morning.
Pickup from your accommodation, then transfer to Manyara with a lunchbox along the route. Cultural tourism and an evening walk through Manyara Banana Village. Dinner and overnight stay at a designated camp.
After breakfast, have a game drive in the park till late in the afternoon. Lunch will be served at the picnic area inside the park. Dinner and overnight stay at a designated camp.
After breakfast, head to Lake Natron with picnic lunch boxes. It's a difficult journey on a rocky and dusty road, but it's worth it, and the gorgeous and breathtaking landscape along the way helps. Hiking the Ngarasero Escarpment, with its waterfalls and gorge, is especially breathtaking. Natron is a secluded region with a strong sense of seclusion and peace. The lake itself is extraordinarily alkaline and attractive, and it is home to over a million flamingos, particularly the pinkish white plumage Lesser Flamingos. It supplies food and a breeding ground for these birds, which are perfectly adapted to the harsh climate of a volcanic lake. Flamingos eat on Spirulina algae, which are abundant in Lake Natron's waters. Dinner and stay at the chosen campsite.
Full day at Lake Natron, including a visit to the Engare Sero canyon and river, as well as the Massa tribe hamlet. Dinner and stay at the chosen campsite.
After an early start, you will travel along adventurous dirt paths with breathtaking vistas as your vehicle ascends out of the Rift Valley to reach the Serengeti's vast grasslands by lunchtime. Safari starts in the northeast (kopjes). Tanzania's most well-known park is the Serengeti, which hosts the world's greatest wildlife migration. The migrating animals are free to travel wherever they want and are not limited to the park limits. However, it has been observed that Kili Step 2 Safaris are venturing further out, and the wildlife watching to date has been nothing short of magnificent. Dinner and stay at a designated camp.
Early morning game drive, witnessing the Serengeti Seronera wildebeest migration, returning for breakfast, and then continuing with a predator view game drive. Dinner and stay at a designated camp.
Full-day game drive. Overnight at the chosen campsite.
Visiting Lake Eyasi will transport you to the Hadzabe people's homeland, an arid and scorching region where these hunters and gatherers are thought to have lived for more than 10,000 years. Lake Eyasi's size varies with the amount of rain, and it becomes a parched bed during the dry season. A great place to take a breather from your wildlife experiences, which the nearby parks provide enough of. The cultural and historical impressions gained here will be a wonderful addition to your recollections. Dinner and stay at a designated camp.
After breakfast, you will descend down the crater for a half-day crater tour till late afternoon. Following lunch, you will begin ascending the crater rim on your journey to Karatu town. Dinner and stay at a designated camp.
After breakfast, we will go to Tarangire National Park for an action-packed day of wildlife drives. This park is dominated by the perennial Tarangire River and is characterized by its huge baobab trees. Kili Step 2 Safaris extend and wind its branches toward the beautiful sky. Tarangire's most stunning feature is its abundant elephant population. In fact, it has the highest population of any park in northern Tanzania. These gentle giants number in excess of 3,000. Tarangire is now enjoying an elephant baby boom, so you will see a lot of juniors and infants in the herd. Expect to witness zebra, eland, mongoose, giraffe, bushbuck, hartebeest, dik-dik, impala, warthog, and reedbuck. You may come across olive baboons, velvet monkeys, and bush babies. The park is home to several carnivores, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals. Today is your last safari adventure; after the game drive, you will begin your return to Moshi or Arusha.
