Mnemba Atoll Marine Park, Zanzibar’s most famous marine protection area, is home to moray eels, lion fish, stingrays, and other species in clear, high-visibility seas.
After being picked up from your Zanzibar accommodation, travel to Muyuni Beach or the northeast coast to board your private boat, which will take 45 minutes from North Beach Nungwi/Kendwa and 30 minutes from Muyuni Beach to Mnemba Island, a white-sand island surrounded by a protected marine reserve. Watch alert for wild dolphins as you sail. The first stop will be at Dolphin Point, where our client will have the opportunity to swim with dolphins. We will then proceed to Mnemba Marine Conservation Area to snorkel on the beautiful coral reef, which is home to a variety of colorful fish species such as Nemo, Dory, Grouper, Zebra, Cornet, Rainbow, Morena, Trumpet, and others. We will then proceed to the sandbank, but the appearance of the sandbank will be determined by the level of the sea tide. Relax on the smooth, powdery sands and relish the vivid flavors of fresh tropical fruits while soaking up the sun and listening to the soothing lapping of the sea (if the tides allow). This tranquil area is ideal for relaxing and admiring the beauty of your surroundings. Whether you're lazing in the sun or swimming in the warm, shallow waters, the pleasant combination of tropical fruits and the breathtaking natural surroundings makes for an enjoyable afternoon on the sandbank. As your captain guides you through the various places. Some are famed for their coral reefs and tropical fish, with sea turtle sightings not uncommon; others gaze out to deeper ocean and give the chance to observe larger sea creatures. Finally, return and drive to your hotel.
