This is a half-day journey to a historical street built with coral stone in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
This intriguing and magical town serves as the cultural and historical core of Zanzibar. This is a half-day journey to a historical street built with coral stone in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. It was designated a World Heritage Site in 2000. Stone Town is a vibrant community where Arab, African, Indian, and European cultures coexist together. As you stroll through the maze of streets too narrow for cars, you may see mosques, churches, and temples side by side. While you explore the city, your guide will take you on a historical and cultural tour of the old slave market, the House of Wonders, the Old Fort, Sultan's Palace, and the Darajani market. It will also include lunch at a restaurant or in a local home, as previously discussed.
