If you only have four days in Tanzania, a trip that includes Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti is a surefire way to do a Big Five safari. UNESCO has designated Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti National Park as world heritage sites, making them the most well-known wildlife habitats in the Northern Safari circuit.
Numerous wildlife species present in these national parks will be visible to you, as well as the yearly wildebeest migration into the Serengeti. You will undoubtedly have the greatest Tanzanian safari in these national parks.
Our 4 Day Lodge Safaris in Tanzania begin with breakfast and then proceed to Tarangire for a full day of wildlife drives. You will arrive at the main gate and, after registration, you will go inside the park for a game safari drive, which will take you both morning and evening before returning to the resort. Dinner and overnight at the Farm of Dream Lodge.
Today, you will eat breakfast before embarking on a long safari to the Serengeti. It will take us around seven hours to reach the main entrance. On your way, you will have the option of passing by Olduvai Gorge for a historical tour. You will have your packed lunch at the main gate and then travel to the park for the next game safari drive before it gets dark. The park will provide dinner and a hot shower prior to the overnight stay.
Early morning wildlife drive, then travel for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will stop at Olduvai Gorge, which has a history reaching back to the beginning of time. Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey, anthropologists, found the skulls of 'Nutcracker Man' and 'Handy Man', both highly significant links in the chain of human evolution. Transfer late afternoon to Farm of Dream Lodge where you will eat dinner and stay overnight.
After an early breakfast, you'll descend nearly 600 meters into the crater to observe wildlife. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area provides year-round water and forage for a diverse range of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and enormous African elephants. Another major lure to this scenic national park is its large predator population, which includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which can be difficult to locate at times. We will go to Lake Magadi, a big but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern portion and one of the crater's principal characteristics. Flamingos, hippos, and other water fowl are frequently spotted here. Late afternoon transfer to Arusha or airport drop-off.
