This vacation is ideal for those who want to visit Tanzania’s most famous parks (the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, as well as Manyara or Tarangire) and spend a few days in Zanzibar. However, it only gives one night in the Serengeti, which we believe is too short. Still, if you just have a limited amount of time and want to visit this one-of-a-kind park, it is the best option. Following the safari, you can relax and enjoy the magnificent island of Zanzibar.
You will be picked up from the airport. Accommodation prior to the commencement of the journey can be provided at an additional expense.
Imani Excursions will pick you up at the airport and transport you to your accommodation in Arusha. You'll spend the night here, unwind, and plan your next journey. Mount Meru Hotel is a haven for relaxation and aesthetic pleasure.
In the morning, our safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha. We went out for Tarangire on a good tarmac road across gently rolling Maasai plains with occasional acacia bushes. As we go forward, we see numerous Maasai people in colorful clothes wandering along the road, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and driving donkey carts. Tarangire is well-known for its vast elephant herds and is home to a variety of other animals. From the open roof of our cutting-edge safari Jeep, we will see seasonal marshes, savannahs, and the life-giving Tarangire River. Expect to see a variety of animals, including zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and giraffes. We may see lions chasing prey or leopards watching and lounging in the branches above. After a long game drive and savoring the diverse sights and sounds of the environment, we will return to your lodging for supper and overnight stay.
Following breakfast, you will go to the verdant highlands where the Iraqi people cultivate wheat and corn. Along the trip, we'll pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area's misty woods. If you're lucky, you might spot baboons, leopards, or elephants in the deep foliage. The spectacular Ngorongoro Crater may be seen while passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on your way to the Serengeti National Park. You'll be in the park by lunchtime. The Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's largest, with a variety of landforms and habitats, including grassland plains, wetlands, lakes, savannahs, and highlands. Following an extended wildlife drive, we will go to the Seronera Valley for dinner and an overnight stay at your chosen hotel.
After a delicious breakfast, we will embark from the Serengeti and go to the Ngorongoro Crater. We may see the "Big Five" - lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard - before heading to the Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is recognized as one of Africa's Seven Wonders. It was formed millions of years ago and is 600 meters deep, covering around 260 square kilometers. The crater, with its high animal population of roughly 25,000 ungulates, provides the finest game viewing of any park in Tanzania. We'll arrive at the crater rim before lunchtime. Descending into the crater, we will see wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, elephants, and some of the area's over 500 bird species. With a little luck, we could catch a glimpse of the rare black rhino through the grass. After lunch and an entire afternoon within the crater, we'll return to our lodgings for delicious dining and a night of relaxation amidst the plains and their diverse wildlife.
After breakfast, we'll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, the concluding stop on this spectacular safari. This relatively small but diversified park, located 120 kilometers west of Arusha, is called after the shallow salt lake that covers a considerable portion of the park. The park floods and dries according to the seasons and is home to thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species. During our walk of the park, we will encounter monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, elephants, and, with luck, lions resting in the trees. The park is notable for its various landscapes, including broad grassy plains, primate-filled woodlands, and baobab-dotted cliffs. Following lunch, we will return to Arusha, arriving late afternoon in Zanzibar (Stone Town).
This big settlement on Zanzibar's northern edge was originally best known as a dhow-building center. Today, it is a popular tourist destination, thanks in part to its lovely beaches and breathtaking sunsets. The most popular activities here include diving, snorkeling, fishing, and other water sports. The most popular diving locations from Nungwi are along the east coast, Mnemba Island, and the reefs around Tumbatu Island. Nungwi's local geology and tide pattern allow swimmers to swim at any time. Other activities include yoga, cycling, and village visits.
Today, we will end our tour with breakfast at our hotel. You'll be transferred to the airport or ports based on your return flight time, brimming with enduring photos of the African wilderness and recollections of remarkable encounters.
Additional accommodations can be offered at an additional cost. You will be dropped off at the airport.
