There is no better vacation option than to combine the greatest safari and beach vacations. Begin with a few days in Zanzibar and let the tranquility set in. Now that you’ve slept, it’s time to embark on an excursion in Selous (Nyerere National Park), where you’ll explore wildlife and natural environments. After a few days, you’ll fly back to Zanzibar. Let go of your troubles and tensions while relaxing on the unique island’s gorgeous beaches and reflecting on the beauty of life!
You will be picked up from the airport. Accommodation prior to the commencement of the journey can be provided at an additional expense.
Upon arrival at Zanzibar's airport, your driver will transport you to Zanzibar Bay Resort, where you will check into a luxurious accommodation. Take your time enjoying the resort, whether it's with a drink at the Jetty Bar and Restaurant, sunbathing, or a refreshing dip in the Indian Ocean or swimming pool.
Following an early breakfast, one of our personnel will transport you to the airport for your flight to Selous in a robust bush plane. As soon as you arrive, you will spend the entire day on a game drive in Selous Game Reserve. The reserve is one of Africa's greatest surviving wilderness areas. The reserve is intersected by Tanzania's second largest river, the Rufiji River, resulting in a dynamic ecosystem. Selous is home to about 350 bird and reptile species, around 2000 plant species, and a diverse range of animals, including the African bush elephant, hippopotamus, lion, Cape buffalo, Maasai giraffe, zebra, crocodile, and everything in between. The vehicle is an open four-wheel-drive safari jeep, ideal for shooting unimpeded photographs. The cars emit low levels of noise, allowing us to transport you up close to the wildlife. At the end of the day, you'll check into Africa Safari Selous.
After a good breakfast, the Bushman will take you on a tour around the area and explain the plants and fauna. Lunch will be given at the restaurant, and later in the afternoon, a boat safari down the Rufiji River is planned. At the end of this eventful day, you will have dinner and spend the night at Africa Safari Selous.
After breakfast, you will take a short journey to the airstrip and then fly back to Zanzibar International Airport. Next, you'll arrive at Zanzibar Bay Resort and check into a luxurious room. In the following days, you can relax at Zanzibar Bay Resort and beside the water. You can embark on one of the several excursions available.
Enjoy the most stunning beach, complete with blue sea and dramatic tide changes. Swim from the jetty when the tide is high, and go for endless beach walks when the tide is low. Sip a drink at the jetty bar, dive into the Indian Ocean's stunning blue waters, or take a dive or snorkeling tour to discover the underwater world that surrounds the island. Allow time to stand still before resuming to your normal routine.
We hope you enjoyed your stay at the resort. As this is the last day, a van will be waiting to transport you to Zanzibar International Airport for your return trip.
